Fall Short.

InstagramCapture_7d77e947-afa0-499b-b3d8-5f2f15c55cb8I have been told I am one in a million.
I make mistakes times close to a million.
Times.  Apparently I never get.
Tired of humiliate.
Ing myself.
Mbu. I need help.
But how will I get.
If check.
Every wreck.
Every mistake.
Every misstep.
I make.
I take.
Every glass I break.
In my wake.
On my way.
To achieving something great.
Something great.
Something higher than I get.
If I get.
But I don’t get.
I don’t think I need to get!
His ways are higher than my ways.
My mistakes.
My missteps.
Am I on the right staircase?
If I take a step.
Step of faith.
Will I crash-land on my face?
Maybe yes.
Take a guess.
But nevertheless.
I say yes.
To a tough nother mistake.
Least I know which not to make.
Road not to take.
Word not to say.
If I dare speak.
It’s like Eleanor say.
Mrs. Roosevelt.
Do what your heart say.
Haters hate anyway.
So I’m on my way.
Making the same mistakes.
To you.
But all the while learning something new.
Something good.
Something that gives me a clue.
For the next step.
I fall short but we all do.
Maybe more than others I do.
But how will I get if I do.
Not?
Isn’t that the highest form of falling short?

God DNA EP: Exclusive Listening Party

Every once in a while on a few luxurious occasions I’m given VIP treatment, and invited to such high end parties as the God DNA EP exclusive listening party of creative artist Josh SB Sessions.
Real names you ask? Well,SB stands for Sick Beats, because his music prediction is far from the normal/ ordinary “Ugandan” beats we have come to know and love. What choice do we have, right?
Wrong!
He, and the C19 Studios crew have brought a Next Level product to this market, at no extra charge, so much that the MC  just had to ask,”Can’t you be Ugandan?” To which I secretly replied,
“Can’t Ugandan be you?”
Yes, we have set a very low bar for the industry, and though clearing it is not easy for the ordinary Ugandan, Josh has taken a giant leap, plus a few bounds and set a whole new bar. So the question we all need to ask ourselves as Ugandans, is: Can’t we rise to the challenge?
Answer?
YES WE CAN!
Josh should never have to lower his standard to what was once ours; we should rise to his, and beyond! We can, and we should. And I will 😊. Because I know excellence when I see it, hear it or read it, and I saw, hard and read it in this newest EP; GodDNA, that features some of the best, most passionate, talented minds we have in the music industry today.

All these are amazing, unequally gifted, ordinary individuals doing extraordinary work! And no! We have no right to ask them to give less than their best, because like Walt Disney said; Keep Moving Forward!

Professing Christians

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

So I like to use other peoples photos as my profile picture on Whatsapp and I get asked why.
Let me just answer this question once and for all.
I like, no, admire these people, whether it’s a photographer who took his time and took the perfect shot, or a ballerina who spends her time horning her craft, or a graphic design, well thought of and executed, or a song that speaks deeply to me,
I have,I do and I will always put them up on my virtual wall of fame, because to me, these are heroes and heroines, they have overcome obstacles each so different from the next, each so focused not on the thousand reasons why it can’t happen, but the one reason it must, each fighting a constant battle between giving up on their dream to make extra money, our just because someone said you can’t make it.
Yes, they are good at what they do. Yes, they may not be professing Christians, tongue speaking, demon chasing, verse dropping christians, but, yes, they do glorify the Almighty when they excel in the fields God has placed them in, with the talents He has entrusted them with, and that in itself is an act of worship, according to Watoto Church founder Pastor Gary Skinner, another hero, and one who literally and in all aspects is a professing Christian, and Rick Warren, the author of the Purpose Driven Life.
So yeah, she may be wearing a leotard and nothing else because she is a gymnast,a ballerina or swimmer, and it’s ok. Because, like I say, that’s her line of work. She’s not going to wear a helmet and boots, just like nobody expects you to wear a suit to a construction site.
So, yes, I am a Christian, and I have values, but I’m not a simpleton, and dear brother and sister, hopefully, neither are you. So know your place, have your values, beliefs and practices, but have an open mind and heart, try to understand the rest of God’s creation who are not designed like you, and know that God saw that it was good. ( Genesis 1:4-25)
